Oh my god! I am not one to vent about things, but things at work are crazy right now and I am running out of patience.
Let me just explain to you how things work at my work place: I worked with 2 other women in running a translation agency. One of them got knocked up and, due to some complication, went on a medical leave at 6 months (pregnant). She is currently enjoying a maternity leave.
So, 1 down, 2 to go. The other woman, “S”, is now 7 months pregnant. One month ago, we got a new intern, still undergoing training. Today, “S” had a doctor’s appointment and… guess what?!? She has a severe case of anemia and the doctor recommended complete bed rest and a 2 week medical leave! So, now it is only me + the intern running the company!
When I told my boss this, he said, very simply, “we’ll then, we just have to make do, then”. This coming from the man how fired 4 people and then, after being very stressed out by the whole process, left on a 1 week thermal and spa vacation at a 4 start hotel!
I need another job. Any suggestions?
